Physical support

"Birth Matters . . . It matters because it is the way we all begin our lives outside of our source, our mother's bodies. It's the means from which we enter and feel our first impression of the wider world. For each mother, it is an event that shakes and shapes her to her innermost core. Women's perceptions about their bodies and their babies' capabilities will be deeply influenced by the care they receive around the time of birth."

Ina May Gaskin, 'mother' of American midwifery

Congrats and Welcome

This is an exciting time in your life. You deserve to have all information and support you need to plan and prepare for your baby, and to have recommended trusted community resources. As a DONA doula our role is to provide you with empowerment, information, comfort, and support to you and your partner for the duration of your pregnancy, labor, and initial postpartum care.

What is a Doula anyway??

A doula is a non-medical birth professional who is trained to provide emotional, informational and physical support to a birthing person and their partners. Doula care includes a free consultation, two prenatal meetings, 24/7 on-call support, continuous labor support and one postpartum visit.
